Iria Garrido is an accomplished saxophonist known for her rich musicality and technical prowess. She has a robust educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Saxophone from Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in the same field at the same institution. Her previous experience includes performing as a baritone saxophonist with the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet during the 2023-2024 season, which significantly shaped her artistic vision and ensemble skills.

Background and Education
Iria began her formal music education at the Conservatorio Victor Ureña in Redondela, Spain, where she graduated with honors, receiving the "Premio Extraordinario Fin de Grao." She continued her studies in the Netherlands under the guidance of Ties Mellema, Juani Palop and Andreas van Zoelen. Throughout her academic career, Iria has participated in numerous masterclasses with prominent musicians such as Arno Bornkamp, Lars Niederstrasser, Marie-Bernardette Charrier, Claude Delangle, Pawel Gusnar and Joshua Hyde.

Professional Experience
In addition to her role with the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet, Iria has been an active performer with various ensembles, including the Tantrum Saxophone Quartet and LIM ensemble in Tilburg. She also played with the Raschèr Academy Orchestra in Germany, showcasing her versatility across different musical styles and settings.

Teaching and Outreach
Iria is dedicated to music education and has provided several master classes with the Raschér Saxophone Quartet. She also taught in several music schools in the Netherlands and gave private lessons at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música in Redondela during the summer holidays from 2018 to 2022. She is passionate about fostering the next generation of musicians and imparting her extensive knowledge of music theory and performance skills.
